International cruise companies are hopeful about cruise tourism recovery in China following the country's decision to resume visa-free entry for cruise tour groups at Shanghai ports from this Wednesday. International tourist groups on cruises can enter Shanghai visa-free and travel in the coastal provinces for up to 15 days, according to the Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection. Dr Liu Zinan, chairman of Royal Caribbean Cruises Asia, told CGTN that the policy shows the government is taking a step forward to resume the cruise industry in China.
