The "Coffee Together" carnival has kicked off in Shanghai's Xuhui District, marking the official start of a series of events in different districts of the metropolis. This event was co-hosted by China Media Group's Shanghai branch, CGTN, and the 5G new media platform of the media outlet.

The "Coffee Together" carnival series made its debut in Xuhui District with the highly anticipated first "Xujiahui Coffee Lifestyle Festival" and "2023 Shanghai Xuhui Coffee Lifestyle Week" launching at the Metro City shopping mall. Guests on-site witnessed the debut of the "Walking Coffee Cup" urban art installation, which landed in the Xujiahui Business Circle.

The first "Xujiahui Coffee Lifestyle Festival" features five major theme activities, namely, "Coffee+Lifestyle," "Coffee+Automobile," "Coffee+Art," "Coffee+Consumerism" and "Coffee+Public Welfare."

During the festival, the district will offer a "Free Coffee" campaign and a customized early bird map for free access to boutique coffee. A special online check-in page will also be released, offering interactive activities and coffee coupons to promote the charm of coffee culture.

As the first stop for this series, Xuhui District has more than 900 coffee shops, including independent specialty shops and chain coffee brands.

The upcoming days will feature a diverse range of coffee-related events and experiences at the carnival, such as tastings, demonstrations, and interactive workshops. It will also present various "coffee+" activities that encompass a variety of media platforms. Visitors can enjoy outdoor concerts, camping parties, recycling events, industry forums, and holiday-themed activities.

The "Shanghai Boutique Coffee Shop Series Honor Roll" special page of the "Coffee Together" carnival website is scheduled to launch on March 31, and online users are invited to participate by casting their votes.

The first "Xujiahui Coffee Lifestyle Festival" will run from March 17 to April 2.
