Dai Jiacheng, a PhD candidate in petroleum engineering, gave three suggestions in "What's the Talk" about how to protect the environment: reducing energy consumption, using electric cars, and using more of natural gas among the available fossil fuels. Reducing energy use will lower emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, he said.
