Two U.S. trains derail in separate incidents in Arizona and Washington State
00:51

Two trains derailed in separate incidents in Arizona and Washington State, with the latter spilling diesel fuel on tribal land along Puget Sound. A train carrying corn syrup derailed in western Arizona on March 15. The train was initially feared to be carrying hazardous materials, but the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway later confirmed that the train was carrying corn syrup. A second BNSF train derailed in Washington State on March 16. Most of the 5,000 gallons of spilled diesel fuel leaked onto the land side of the berm.
