In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Nobel laureate in economics Michael Spence says that although low-income countries are facing a much more difficult economic environment in trying to jump-start their economies compared to predecessors like China, Republic of Korea and Singapore. He has not lost confidence in the inclusiveness of global growth patterns with respect to convergence between developed and developing economies, mentioning that the proposal to build a community of shared future for mankind is in the right direction, but trust is critical.
