Action without UN endorsement has become a major challenge for the world and the China-proposed Global Security Initiative may help make a change, said Marco Fernandes, a researcher at the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research. The Global Security Initiative calls for upholding the authority of the UN and its status as the main platform for global security governance.
