China's video game regulator on Monday approved 27 foreign games in March, including titles to be published by giant companies such as Tencent, NetEase and Bilibili.

According to a list of games released on the website of the National Press and Publication Administration, there is at least one operated by Tencent, which is called Merge Mansion. NetEase received a license for at least one mobile game named Audition: Everybody Party, while Bilibili won approval for a game called Shanyao! Youjunshaonu.

This is the first batch of foreign online games approved in China this year.

Last December, the country granted licenses to 44 foreign video games after the approval process for foreign games had been halted for 18 months between 2021 and 2022.
