The Baghdad International Dialogue Conference commemorating the 20th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq was held in the war-torn country's capital Baghdad on March 19, and attendees put heads together to help Iraq find feasible solutions to reconstruction and development in the days to come.
On March 20, 2003, the U.S. and its allies launched a war on Iraq without the authorization of the United Nations on the pretext that the Iraqis possessed weapons of mass destruction, leaving this ancient country devastated and its people with endless pain. 20 years later, Iraq has not recovered from the war.
