In recent years, the city of St. Louis, Missouri, has consistently ranked among the most dangerous in the United States. As local authorities consistently fail to break the cycle of violence, residents have formed volunteer groups to police their own communities and to help save lives.
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is one such group. Tyrone Wilson is a member and he mans a 24-hour hotline to help deal with alerts from different crimes around the city.
"Any time can be the peak crime time," Tyrone said.
