Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that he is ready to work with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to make plans for bilateral ties and practical cooperation to boost the development and revitalization of both countries.
Xi made the remarks during his expanded talks with Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow.
Xi said with the joint efforts of the two sides, China-Russia relations have maintained a momentum of robust, sound and steady growth.
He said the two countries have enjoyed deepening political mutual trust, a convergence of interests and understanding between the peoples, and have advanced cooperation in trade, investment and energy, and exchanges at people-to-people and regional levels.
China-Russia cooperation is covering more areas, building greater consensus and delivering early harvests, he said, adding that more cooperation is being comprehensively advanced.
Noting that China is in the first year of fully implementing the guiding principles set by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and that Russia is pursuing its national development goals through 2030, Xi urged both sides to step up communication and coordination for new and greater progress in practical cooperation.
