A group of diplomats and representatives from international organizations gathered in Nujiang, southwest China's Yunnan Province, over the weekend to share ideas on poverty reduction and global development. Nujiang used to be one of the poorest areas in China, and was selected because it provides a good example of how improved infrastructure, industrial development, ecological protection and cultural preservation can help lift communities out of poverty. CGTN reporter Yang Jinghao spoke to the Ambassador of Uruguay to China Fernando Lugris for his views.
