The U.S. experienced more than 600 mass shootings in 2022, including 46 on school grounds, according to CNN. Among them, the Robb Elementary School shooting on May 24, 2022, was the deadliest since 1999 when an 18-year-old gunman opened fire and killed 19 children and two adults in Uvalde, Texas.
CGTN Global stringer spoke with Gary Moskowitz, a former New York police officer and tactics coach, on his perspective on the school shooting. He said the cops are not trained to react to the problems of today. He also called for the national police agency to formulate a minimum standard across the country to improve the overall professional quality of law enforcement.
