José Luis Centella, president of the Communist Party of Spain, said "in the People's Republic of China, the development of the democratic model cannot be separated from the process of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, which proposes putting the people at the center of all policies".
He made the remarks at the second "International Forum on Democracy: The Shared Human Values" held on Thursday in Beijing.
