At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Russia from March 20 to 22. It was Xi's first foreign trip since being elected as Chinese president earlier this month. It was also his ninth visit to Russia as Chinese president. It is a journey of friendship, cooperation and peace. As fellow travelers on the journey of development and rejuvenation, China and Russia will make new and greater contributions to human advancement.
