Recent media reports say the U.S. could force TikTok to be sold off. China's Commerce Ministry has hit back. "Forcing the sale of TikTok merely on the basis of its investors' nationality, while ignoring the product and its service, will seriously damage the confidence of investors from all over the world, including China, to invest in the United States," said Shu Jueting, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday.
