Pfizer has signed on to a health initiative aimed at improving healthcare in China. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Health China Research Center. The two sides are expected to build mechanisms for closer cooperation, with studies and research on issues of public health and medical care. Officials say foreign companies will add diversity and vitality to the sector. Pfizer says it wants to focus on helping to improve the health of rural populations.
