00:00

Julian Nagelsmann has been replaced by Thomas Tuchel as the manager of Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga powerhouse announced on Friday.

The direct trigger for this major personnel change is likely Bayern's loss to Bayer Leverkusen on March 19. They dropped to the second on the standings table below Borussia Dortmund because of that, but only by one point.

Bayern are currently at a very crucial stage of the 2022-23 campaign. They have nine games to play in Bundesliga and will face Dortmund on March 1; they have entered the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals where they will face the Premier League heavy weights Manchester City; Bayern have also advanced to the quarterfinals in the DFB-Pokal.

Simply speaking, they have the chance to win the treble. Manager-changing at such a time point seems very bold. Have Bayern made the right call?
