Earth Hour is an annual event which calls on people to switch off non-essential lights in their homes and workplaces in support of the planet. Landmarks across China went dark at 8:30 p.m. BJT on March 25. And a 'mini Earth' was set up at a shopping mall in Guangzhou to raise awareness and inspire collective action against climate change and environmental degradation.
