On Sunday, the Joint Communique on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Honduras was signed in Beijing after Honduras severing "diplomatic relations" with the Taiwan authorities. Rasel Tomé, vice president of the National Congress of Honduras, said that "Taiwan is a part of China, so we have established diplomatic relations with the only legal government of China."
