Direct flights resume between Shenzhen and Taipei

Since February 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, passenger flights across the Taiwan Straits were reduced from 61 to only 4, flying to the mainland cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen and Chengdu. On Sunday, the first direct flight in three years from Shenzhen to Taipei took off. Shenzhen is among ten cities scheduled to resume regular flights with Taiwan starting March 10. Another 13 cities will be able to charter flights to the island.
