Eleven people were killed after an abandoned cold storage facility caught fire during a demolition process in Zhendong village, Cangxian County, in north China's Hebei Province on Monday afternoon, the local government said in a press release on Tuesday.

The fire occurred at around 2:30 p.m. and was extinguished at 10:55 p.m. An investigation into the cause is underway.
