Relations between China and the U.S. are strained. What would it take to put ties back on track? For answers, we present a special series called "China and the World," filled with in-depth interviews. In this episode of the series, hear from Stephen Orlins, president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR). For 57 years, the committee has been a trailblazer in China-U.S. relations. Orlins says it's crucial that both countries restart people-to-people exchanges. He also points out that American policy towards China is overly hostile. Although he is a political minority in his views on China, he doesn't think that the situation is so difficult.
