Speaking about the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its impact on the world order, Martin Jacques, senior fellow at Cambridge University and the author of the global best-seller "When China Rules the World: the End of the Western World and the Birth of a New Global Order," points out that while the Global South that represents most of the world's population is not supporting American actions or joining the sanctions, having taken a similar position to China, the conflict is re-drawing the global map in a way that Europe and the U.S. are becoming a smaller part of the world than they were before.
