The government of Kazakhstan resigned before the start of a new legislative term on Wednesday.

"In accordance with the Constitution of Kazakhstan and the Constitutional Law on the government, in connection with the resignation of the government to the newly elected lower house of the Parliament, I order the government to fulfill duties until approval of its new composition," said a presidential decree published on Wednesday.
