The Lujiazui coffee festival has added a professional competition this year - the first Shanghai Latte Art Championship. It aims to build a platform for coffee makers in China and overseas to pair their skills and boost the professional level of those working in this industry.

At the opening ceremony, the winner of the World Latte Art Championship demonstrated latte art on-site and drew the "CMG" pattern on some hot foam, pushing the event's atmosphere to a climax.

Since the "Coffee Together" carnival got underway in late February, it has received strong support from the Publicity Department of Shanghai Municipality. The event has promoted Shanghai's image as an international metropolis and a melting pot of disparate cultures.

The collaboration between the "Coffee Together" carnival and the Lujiazui coffee festival will help to display China's coffee culture and lifestyles to the world.
