UK to join trans-Pacific free trade pact: PM's office

The United Kingdom will join the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's office announced on Friday.

The members of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreed Friday on Britain joining the 11-nation free trade pact at an online ministerial meeting, Kyodo news agency reported on Friday, citing a Japanese minister.
