Destabilizing global industrial and supply chains benefits no one and will eventually backfire, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
Mao made the comments in response to Japan's latest move to restrict exports of 23 types of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Media reports said the move is in complicity with the U.S. to curb China's ability to make advanced chips.
