While talking on the recent remarks by European Commission President Von Der Leyen to “de-risk” ties with China, former Slovenian President Danilo Türk warned of the irrational use of terminology without serious and long-terming thinking. He believes the key principle for managing China-EU relations should be guided by mutual interests and not “a flurry of events” that may overshadow necessary reflection.
