The Honor Roll Selection for the "Coffee Together" carnival event, jointly organized by the Shanghai headquarters of the China Media Group (CMG), China Global Television Network (CGTN) and CMG's 5G new media platform Yangshipin, was launched on Friday.

Over a hundred exquisite coffee shops will compete in four major categories: "Best Roastery," "Best Specialty Coffee Shop," "Most Atmospheric Coffee Shop" and "Best Dessert Coffee Shop." Netizens are invited to take part in the vote from March 31 to May 5 by following "CMG Shanghai" on Yangshipin.

The results will be announced at the opening ceremony of the third Shanghai Coffee Culture Week at the end of May. In addition, the event will also present a number of special honors, including the "Best Campus Coffee Shop," "Best Coffee Chain Brand Specialty Shop" and "Coffee Personality of the Year."

The launch of the Honor Roll Selection has attracted nearly 700 coffee shops from across Shanghai to participate in a range of promotional consumer activities showcasing the growth and vitality of the coffee industry in Shanghai.

A special live stream called "Speak Out About Your Favorite Coffee Shop" was also launched to encourage netizens to cast their votes for their favorite coffee shops.

On the same day, the "Walking Coffee Cup" urban art installation made an appearance on Nanjing Road in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, where it will remain in place for a week.

The "Coffee Together" carnival series made its debut in Xuhui District with the highly anticipated first "Xujiahui Coffee Lifestyle Festival" and "2023 Shanghai Xuhui Coffee Lifestyle Week" on March 17, 2023.

In the future, the "Coffee Together" carnival event will continue to collaborate with various districts in Shanghai to hold "Coffee+" themed activities and will release exciting content, including bilingual theme songs, emoji designs and short videos.
