Chinese President Xi Jinping has hosted several foreign leaders in Beijing, holding meetings with the prime ministers of Spain, Malaysia and Singapore. Professor Luo Yongkun from the Institute of Southeast Asian and Oceanian Studies at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, said ASEAN countries expect China to play a bigger role in the international community.
