Security staff at UK's Heathrow Airport began a 10-day strike calling for higher wages on Friday. About 1,400 security guards participated in the strike beginning at the start of the Easter holiday period, after last-minute talks over a pay rise failed. The strike has resulted in British Airways canceling around 5 percent of its flights during the Easter period. The union said the workers were forced to take action amid a cost-of-living crisis caused by soaring inflation.
