The health of Ya Ya, a giant panda living at the Memphis Zoo in America, has attracted online attention. Ya Ya and Le Le arrived at the zoo in 2003. In December 2022, the Memphis Zoo announced that it would return Ya Ya and Le Le to China after a 20-year lease. Sadly, Le Le passed away at the zoo in February 2023. Ya Ya's situation has sparked heated discussion online in China, and a staff member from the China Association of Zoological Gardens said that if the formalities proceed smoothly, Ya Ya will return to China earlier than expected.
