Three people were killed and three others were hospitalized on Saturday night in a shooting at a bar in Oklahoma City, the capital of the midwestern U.S. state of Oklahoma, authorities said.

Police responded to the Whiskey Barrel Saloon at around 9 p.m. local time (0200 GMT Sunday), according to local media.

One wounded person remains in critical condition, while the other two have non-life-threatening injuries, the Oklahoma City Police Department said.

A suspect is reportedly in custody and an investigation is underway.
