China's first commercial liquid-fueled carrier rocket Tianlong-2 Y1 was successfully launched at 4:48 p.m. BJT on Sunday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China, carrying a satellite into pre-set orbit.
Developed by Chinese commercial rocket company Space Pioneer, the rocket is a three-stage launch vehicle propelled by kerosene and liquid oxygen. The satellite is mainly used to carry out remote sensing imaging experiments and other technical verifications.
