Petra Kvitova ended Elena Rybakina's 13-match winning streak to win her 30th WTA singles title 7-6 (16/14), 6-2 at the Miami Open on Saturday.

Czech Kvitova, 33, will return to the Top 10 in the WTA rankings for the first time since September 2021.

She broke to lead the set 5-4 in a serve-dominated match, but Rybakina, who represents Kazakhstan, immediately broke back.

The two finished the hour-long first set on a tiebreak of more than 20 minutes when Kvitova saved five set points and Rybakina hit a return into the net.

Kvitova took the momentum into the second set, breaking early to go 2-0 up and took the set 6-2 from the world No.7 who was looking to capture a back-to-back victory, the "Sunshine Double," after winning the title at Indian Wells two weeks ago.

"That was deciding the whole match for sure. I think it was the longest one I ever played in my life. Nothing is easy hanging out with Elena," Kvitova said of the lengthy tiebreak.

"Of course this means a lot, that at my age I can still win big tournaments, the young ones are coming up all the time, it's tough to face them all the time, it's very tiring," added the Czech.

"After so many matches, I feel confident, it is just about preparing well now (for clay)...keep on fighting, keep on working on technique, physique and all aspects of my game," said Rybakina, who is 11 years younger than her rival in the final.

The men's final on Sunday features Russia's Daniil Medvedev against Italian Jannik Sinner.
