Located in the northern part of Central America, Honduras borders Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala. It has an area of 112,500 square kilometers and a population of about 10 million. The country is also known as "Silver Hills" and "Elf Forest," thanks to its extremely rich mineral resources and biodiversity.  
On March 26, China and Honduras established diplomatic relations, making the latter the 182nd country in the world to have established diplomatic ties with China.
