Wu Yi-chen, an entrepreneur from Taiwan region, turned to pursue medical biotechnology after learning it could treat cancer, which took her father's life. Wu then took over the management of a company that engages in immune and stem cell storage. Later on, watching the plight of children with leukemia encouraged Wu to start a project named "Little Cells of Love" to help children from underprivileged backgrounds on the Chinese mainland. Since 2013, the project has helped save at least 279 children.
