China's cybersecurity review on U.S.-based firms is a conventional measure to safeguard national security, which will not affect their legal operation in the country, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Monday. She made the remarks at a press conference in response to U.S. firms' worries that the review on U.S.-based memory chip maker Micron which started last Friday could lead to more operational limits on them in China.
