China is stepping up its efforts to build and operationalize satellite internet, aiming to facilitate telecommunications in areas uncovered by conventional networks in Yunnan Province. Deep in the mountains of Yulong County in Lijiang City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, as part of a test, a low-Earth orbit satellite communication network has transmitted information via the electric power grid in China for the first time.
In recent years, China has made steady progress in developing its satellite internet, which accelerates the satellite communication network application in more areas with greater capacity.
