A former Kuomintang party legislator has described Tsai Ing-wen's so called stopover in the United States as a disappointment. The Taiwan region's leader passed through New York last week on her way to Central America. The trip comes after Honduras formally cut ties with Taiwan to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China.
