Located 80 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Honduras in Tegucigalpa, Comayagua is a city and municipality, which remained the capital of Honduras throughout all the colonial period. In that period, the city had been infused with plenty of Spanish elements in different architectural works, such as churches, colleges, convents, houses, and fountains.
