At least four firefighters were injured after a mob attacked the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka on Tuesday, local media reported.

The incident occurred after a fire broke out in the Bangabazar market in the city. Witnesses said a group of people, including some shopkeepers, were frustrated by the still-burning fire and attacked the fire service headquarters around 9:30 a.m.

Earlier this day, a fire erupted in the Bangabazar market in Dhaka city. Firefighters rushed to the scene and attempted to contain the blaze, but the situation worsened as the fire spread to nearby buildings. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
