00:55

On the morning of April 3, former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang party, Ma Ying-jeou, arrived in Chongqing with his delegation and visited the Three Gorges Museum in the afternoon. It was the latest stop during a 12-day visit to China, widely seen as an attempt to strengthen cross-Strait relations. During the tour, Ma was introduced to the music and dance, burial culture and living conditions of ancient Ba people. When the guide at the museum talked about the Three Gorges Dam project, Ma said: "Many parents at that time wished their kids to build the dam at the Three Gorges when they grew up. I was one of them."
