Japan vows to proceed with $7.6 billion aid to Ukraine

Japan's Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi has promised his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba continued support for Ukraine as they met in Belgium on Tuesday, according to Japanese broadcaster NHK.

Hayashi vowed to steadily proceed with the delivery of assistance worth $7.6 billion Japan has pledged that includes money to help Ukraine acquire non-lethal equipment through NATO trust funds, the report said.

The two are in Belgium for a meeting of NATO foreign ministers slated for Wednesday.
