Irish politician and member of the European Parliament, Mick Wallace, sat down with CGTN reporter Li Jingjing in Beijing on April 2 to share his views on the current dilemma that Europe is facing.
He believes that forming a better relationship with China is crucial for Europe, yet the outside pressure the EU is facing is separating Europe from China, which is not in Europe's interests.
"For us, we feel the people of Europe want to have a good relationship with China, the business of Europe do want to have a good relationship with China, but sadly we have a political class who are being manipulated by U.S. interests," said Wallace.
