Polish President Andrzej Duda held a meeting with visiting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday.

Duda said Warsaw will seek additional security guarantees for Kyiv at a NATO summit in July as he hosted Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Today we are trying to get for Ukraine... additional guarantees, security guarantees, which will strengthen Ukraine's military potential," Duda told reporters following talks with Zelenskyy, adding that Poland supports full NATO membership for Ukraine.

Zelenskyy called their meeting "a meeting of neighbors, a meeting of allies, a meeting of partners, a meeting of friends."

In their joint news conference, Zelenskyy said on Wednesday the situation in the Ukrainian eastern city of Bakhmut was really difficult and that the "corresponding decisions" would be taken if Kyiv's troops there risk being encircled by Russian forces.
