A Taiwan politician has criticized plans by Taiwan leader Tsai Ing-wen to meet Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy during a so-called "transit" in the U.S. Chi Chia-lin, president of the Reunification Alliance Party in Taiwan, says that like the visit to Taiwan by McCarthy's predecessor, Nancy Pelosi, it will affect peace in the region.
