Lacquerware making has been around for 7,000 years in China. The ancient craft attracted French artist Vincent Cazeneuve to set up a studio in Chongqing. Now in the southwestern Chinese city for over a decade, he has been incorporating his own style and Western aesthetics to bring a new look to traditional Chinese lacquerware.
