Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Beijing on Thursday. Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang also attended the meeting. Premier Li said relations between China and Europe have global influence. The two sides need to overcome interference and difficulties, and focus on consensus to promote healthy and stable development of China-Europe relations.
Von der Leyen said the interests of Europe and China are closely intertwined. Europe is willing to work with China to strengthen high-level dialogue, maintain market openness, deepen cooperation in various fields, and lead the international community to jointly address global challenges.
