The Jiamusi section of the Songhua River began to thaw on April 3, 11 days earlier than usual, according to the Heilongjiang Hydrology and Water Resources Center. With the water level rising and the amount of ice in the upper reaches of the Songhua River also increasing, a magnificent scene of floating ice appeared in the Jiamusi section of the river.
